Newsroom standards

The desk's editorial policy in plain language.

Sourcing

Every story cites the source at the top — the broadcast feed, the regional organiser, a public scrim report that has been verified against on-air footage, or the desk's own VOD work. We do not rely on leaks, anonymous sourcing or third-party data brokers.

Corrections

Corrections are added as a dated note at the bottom of the article and the original wording is preserved. We do not silently edit published stories. The desk's corrections log is on the about page.

Independence

The desk does not accept payment for coverage, does not run sponsored content from teams, and does not take hospitality from tournament organisers. Editorial coverage only.

Reader input

Reader corrections are welcome. Write to the desk via the contact page with a link to the article and the specific paragraph. The desk responds within two business days.

How the desk archives the season

Every published story is archived and indexed. The desk's archive goes back to 2021.

The news index

The news index is sorted newest-first by default, with filters for the past week, the past month, the past season, and the past year. The desk also publishes a tag-based filter for the most common topics — patch watches, roster moves, broadcast reads, post-match analysis, scrim reports.

The RSS feed

The desk's news stream is also available as an RSS 2.0 feed. The feed updates whenever a new article is published. The feed URL is linked from the news index and from the head of every article page. The feed is read-only — the desk does not require an account to subscribe.

The corrections log

Every published correction is logged on the about page. The desk preserves the original wording of every corrected article and adds a dated correction note at the bottom. The corrections log is the single source of truth for the desk's editorial accountability.

The archive policy

The desk's archive policy is "preserve, never rewrite". A 2021 article is presented in its 2021 form, with the correction note if any was added. The desk does not retroactively edit published articles to reflect new information. The reader is the one who gets to read the correction note and decide what to do with it.
